i have a deep well pump vertical i changed the pressure switch and gauge . comes on and off ok builds up pressure as soon as the pump cuts off gauge falls to zero......... can someone tell me whats going on with it???? . thank you russ

After the pump there is usually a check valve and if its deep there may be one close to the to of the pit.

It seems that the check valve may have messed up or you may have a leak between the check valve and the gauge

If the pump comes on and the pressure immediately goes to cut off pressure then drops immediately to 0 it sounds like your bladder tank or pressure tank is water logged.
