Need to stain my deck this spring. Just purchased a new house and he hasn't stained a new deck he put in on in the fall of 2014. Looking at various stains, I think I've decided on Flood. First off, what are people's experiences with different stains? Looked at Sikkens, but seems like for much cheaper, Flood will do just as good of a job. Also considered TWP. Also trying to decide between the Flood transparent clear or the semi-transparent. We don't want a big difference in color. The wood is just pressure treated pine. Will there big a big difference in UV protection from transparent to semi-transparent? I know Flood advertises UV protection in their transparent, but not sure how much it truly protects if its "clear". Any help appreciated.
