Have three deck posts that are out of plumb, in two dimensions (front to back, side to side). I'm afraid that straightening them out will position the bases off the footings slightly. Please advise. I can show picks later, but since this is my first message on this forum, it won't let me attach pics.

Post a pick.. I am not sure why you can't just plumb them up.. Or is your problem not that they are not plumb but not in the right position?

Unless they are horribly warped there should be no problem with truing them back up.

Remember to remove all attaching screws/nails, first, that way there are no hidden fulcrum points.

If all of those posts are out of plumb in the same way -- direction and angle it raises the question of has the entire deck moved and racked them out of plumb.
