I am a firm believer that practically all decks should just use 6x6 posts. The price difference is not that much, especially for a deck of this size.
deck for hot tub
building a 10x10 deck to support a 7x7 hot tub. If I put 4x6 10', with 4x4 support under each end and 1 in middle, on 18" centers with a 5/4x6 decking would this hold at least 100 lbs per ft?
