Hello -- I had a pressure treated lumber deck put on at the end of last season. I let it age/dry out and now I want to stain it. I found that where my grill sits the deck color is different. I know this is from the sun beating down on the deck. Now I want to stain the deck -- what, if anything, can I do about the discolored area and making it match the rest of the deck?

Easiest thing to do would be to remove the grill and let the Sun even out the shading.
Stain it when it's the same. Or close.

My plan was to stain it with sikkens semi transparent stain mostly likely in natural wood tone color or maybe ceder toned. -- would the discolored spot show through that?
