Cutting / Edging very high walls

Hi I am painting a two story family room and two story foyer (must be about 20-22 ft high). I'm trying to figure out how to best edge aka 'cut in' the top of the wall... without an extension ladder/scaffold

I tried the small edger that Home Depot sells (that has a pole attachment) and found that the paint easily goes on the top plastic tabs by the wheels and hits the ceiling :furious::furious: (their normal cheap one w/o the tabs does great normal edging but doesnt have the pole attachment)

I have an old, large edger (maybe 4" x 8") which gives me no marks on the ceiling and is decently consistent (considering I am standing 16 feet away or so), but it is all 1/2" from the ceiling. It's quite visible from a 2nd story walkway.

Help?

PS - I'm new here but definitely tried searching! :)

Hire a painter?:whistling2:
Or rent/buy a ladder or some scaffolding. Only way to do the job properly other than hire a pro....
