I need to cut the hardwood flooring between the door jambs in order to install a threshold. Any suggestions as to how to do this such that the result is a nice, even, straight cut?

Thanks

A picture would help.

A router and guide board could be used for most of the cut----then a Multi-Tool to finish off the part that the router missed----

A chisel and a steady hand could be used to finish the router cut also---Mike---

Google the Rockwell multi saw. My brother has one of these, and it's a slick way to make some of those close, fine cuts.

Any Multi tool will do a great job. I use one each and every time installing flooring to trim door jams back, i tis quick and easy and makes a nice cut. Should work good.
