I'd like to install tile in a room that will be mostly carpeted. The tiled portion would be in front of french doors and along a wall just next to and perpendicular to the doors along which a coat rack and bench will be positioned (mud room corner, if you will). I'd prefer the shape of the tiled area to be more curved than hard 90 degree angles - attached a rough sketch of what I'm trying (poorly) to describe. My question is - do I need to find a "curveable" edger to between the tile and carpet (and would that be installed before tile?) or can I put tile in and have carpet installed butted up against the curving tile border? Carpet would be installed by pros, tile by moi.
