What's the best way (taking cost into consideration) to terminate tracpipe for a cooktop? The wall boxes are nice, but they're kind of pricey. What would you recommend? I want to minimize the number of fittings I use. Part numbers would be great.

Can you conceive of any way that I could bring the Tracpipe directly out of the wall?

This is what is normally used for coming up through the floor. They're typically installed in the base of the cabinet or in the floor at the penetrations. I suppose it could be used at a wall, but there are some restrictive protection requirements if you opt for that. The bend radius would also be a big issue. I know that some other CSST manufacturers make wall bends but I'm not seeing one for the TracPipe system.

Yep what thekctermite said....those termination fittings work well. Just throw a threaded valve onto the end then go with your flex connection to the appliance. Also as mentioned, I dont think you'll be able to use that on the wall due to the bend radius either, but there should be space enough on the floor between the wall and the appliance.
