I've been battling these for a few weeks now, and have reached the point where I am going to ask for help of suggestions on what to do next. I have seen them drag crickets around, and am sure this is what I am dealing with.

They've made a nesting site in my backyard, right up against the house foundation and also in the flower bed which is also up against the house foundation.

I find anywhere from 3 - 5 of them in the house each day, and must have vacuumed up over 100 of them already. I've checked for cracks around windows, ect, and cannot figure out how they're getting in, other than assuming that they're flying in when we open the door, or are entering through the weep holes in the bricks.

Wasp spray has little effect on them. I can insta-kill yellow jackets with the spray, but these guys shrug it off.

I've tried DeltaGard G, which shows a target pest as Digger Wasps. This had very little effect on them, and their numbers were back up the next day.

I'm at the point where I am ready to saturate the ground with gasoline and light them on fire. Any other suggestions other than "call a pro"?

Thanks

I am allergic to wasps so have become very good at battling them over the years. I have found Talstar P to be very effective against them, and just about any type of insecticide dust applied to their nesting site works wonders. The key is being able to find the nest. With Talstar I spray the ground and foundation, the soffits and the weepholes all around the house. I even spray my shrubs with it.
One thing on finding them in the house....At my last house I would start seeing red wasps in the house as the weather started getting cold. It turns out they were coming in via the bathroom ceiling vent lines. I found two coming in that way. I would turn on the vent occasionally and puff some Delta or Tempo dust up it and that cured that little issue.

Thanks! I have Sevin Dust and Boric Acid dust, along with a dust blower. If those don't work, i'll get some Tastar P. I'll check the bathroom exhaust fans as well. Thanks again. These are all great suggestions.
