Hello all,
I have a Craftsman self propelled lawn mower, model #917.377791, (Honda engine) that will not start without a shot of starter fluid. I can pull until my arm is about ready to fall off and nothing. Remove the air cleaner and spray a quick shot of starter fluid in the carb and one pull and it fires right up and runs fine. I use StaBil in the gas and run it dry before winter but was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get it to start without the starter fluid.

Need to clean the carb.

Gunk will still build up in those tiny carbs, A cleaning, or replacement will probably get you relief on that arm.
