Cracks are not always caused by leaks. Is this just a hairline crack or a pretty good sized crack? Is it straight, like maybe a seam? Is the ceiling plaster or drywall?
Crack in bedroom ceiling
Hi,
I recently saw a crack in one of bedroom ceiling. There is no leak though. I have a flat roof and there is no water puddle or crack on the roof.
I was wondering what could be causing the crack in the bedroom ceiling? Also any thing I should do till I get a profession contractor look at it?
Any help is very much appreciated.

Stick the screwdriver up in the crack at least 3/4" if it's a seam you should hit the joist and it will go no farther.
