Hey I'm renovating my kitchen and decided to put in a small breakfast bar. Basically I put a window in a wall and want to put a counter on it. Attached is a picture of basically exactly what I plan to have done. The wall is made with 2x3 studs. Just wondering what would be the best way to do this.

I think the photo explains it. you will need brackets to reinforce the new counter. maybe on both sides if it protrudes past the wall enough. place the brackets so they don't interfere with peoples legs when seated, but are still on the studs.

need more info to help with how it can be done. are you building countertop? brackets? buying? what material? etc.

Thanks. Yeah I got the just of it, just not sure where I'd be able to get the brackets and what kind of screws to use. Also I feel like I need something to go through the counter and into the wall. Basically I'm having somebody come in and do the countertop on the cabinets, just wasn't sure how knowledgeable they would be on the situation.
