What is the cost of a new car? It depends on a lot of factors and how much is being demo'd to as per of the reconstruction . You have drains below and vents above to move as well as the fresh water supply. Distance really doesn't have anything to do with it. The cost of the piping materials will be small compared with labor and possible need to open walls, floors, ceilings etc to gain access and route the plumbing.

If you need to ask, leave it where it is.

The old numbers I recall are twenty grand for a new bathroom and forty grand for a new kitchen. Want something special, figure two or three times.
A lot depends on where you are. A lot depends on the home. Certainly 10-20K for a bathroom is not unusual. There are a lot of little things that add up, and labor is very expensive. It's much cheaper to do it yourself, but also takes a lot of time.

Upside: bathroom renovations are one of the only home improvement projects that retain value close to what is put into them and can even increase the value of a home, depending on the home and the market.

Here's the thing: it's a big job and nobody can tell you the price without knowing the labor market in your area, what it looks like, and what kind of workmanship they do, so if you have the money to do it, just get three bids.

My Bath was more of a PITA, because I have Gyprock. I had to rush to get the tub part done. My wife went to put her hand where the faucet is. Pushed the wall in, because the water spraying on the tile from a bad old diverter had pretty much madeit that the only thing holding the wall in place was the tile.
