save your old used gift cards.. they are sturdy plastic items with 2 perfect smooth edges that make a 90 degree angle on them and a rounded corners..

when doing your caulking, pull out your old used up gift card and use it to smooth down the caulking in the corner to give you a perfect rounded in bead instead of having to use your finger.. .. also they are very simple to wipe clean afterwards or just toss in the trash..

This could really help with silicone caulk and what a great idea.

3M manufacturers a spreader/applicator that Grainger apparently still sells. Bought one more than five years ago, here is the link to that product.
