Cordless nail guns

I need to nail cove moldings around 2 bi-fold doors and then baseboard moldings around 2 rooms. I am looking at cordless nail guns- 18 and 16 ga. Can one size nail do both? I am thinking 16 is too big for cove and 18 too small for baseboard.
