Hi Guys,

This question is kind of a follow up to a question I had about installing a new oven. I know the CU/AL topic has been addressed on this site, but I need to know about CU/AL connections for larger wires. Basicaly, since I'm swaping my old 40amp breaker for a 30amp one, I will need to connect the old #6 AWG AL wire to #10 AWG copper. The guy at the electrical supply store gave me multi tap connectors to do this. The kind that look like this: http://images.grainger.com/B333_27/images/products/250x250/Multi-Tap-Connector-1YRJ2_AS01.JPG I know that I'll need to use a oxide inhibitor also. I just want to make sure this connection is "kosher" or if anyone advises something else.

As long as those connectors are listed for use with AL and CU you should be fine. They are also prefilled with an inhibitor.
