Help! I have a project I'm hoping someone can talk me through. I am attaching a photo of the 'look' I am trying to achieve and the help I need. I have a wall light fixture that I would like to replace with a chandelier like the picture shown. Also, the mirror is too tall to use if I don't change out the fixture so regardless, the light will need to be changed out somehow.
How will I convert the electrical outlet so that I can wire a light, either ceiling or higher than existing fixture? My guess is I will need to direct-wire a light.?.
The ceiling above the bathroom is our bedroom floor upstairs. The existing light is on an exterior wall. I just don't know how to make a wall electrical outlet accessible for a hanging light.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Well it only let me post 1 of 3 pictures :(

Lots of room to move it up to accommodate the mirror. Should be some extra wire in behind the wall, but even if not, you should be able to move the whole box upwards and patch the hole where it was.

Mark where the top of the mirror will be, turn the power off, remove the fixture and move the box it was fastened to, up.

Nobody wants a plug in lamp in the bathroom.
