I have a seasonal room that I don't use (was initially meant to be a porch then enclosed, only has one vent to heat/cool) and would like to convert into an open covered porch. The room is on a concrete foundation with storm windows and a slanted ceiling. this is a large house with no exterior porch with shade. I can install a sliding glass door from living room to this room. My question is, how to insulate the soon to be exterior walls? Also what to do with the ceiling tiles? change them to be more outdoor friendly. This room is about 14 X 18.

I would think the walls were already insulated from your description. You can check by either removing an outlet cover or baseboard molding and looking behind the sheetrock.
What do you mean by ceiling tiles? Dropped ceiling or staple up on a grid? If it's a dropped ceiling, put in the plastic covered fiberglass tiles.
If it's the staple up material, you can replace it with a wood beadboard or just try to put a few coats of exterior paint and see how they hold up.

converting porch

The ceiling tiles are those that are stapled to the ceiling. bead board might work and I like the idea of painting with exterior paint - to seal it. I did look and there is insulation I think that if I use some foam board then put up either siding or something it should work. Thanks for the suggestions.
