I had a contractor install my shower valve, and I just now realized he never tested the shower head after all the drywall has been put up. He said he didn't have a cap to cap the head. He told me it shouldn't be a problem since their isn't really any pressure when the water is on.

Should I be worried?

He used gator bite fixtures to attach the pipe.

Put a nipple and a cap on it now and test it----if it is leaking you can see the water --it will run down to the mixer valve----

I would be more concerned as to why the plumber was using $5.00 Shark bite fittings instead of the more common fittings---
