There is a contact point you hold with your thumb at the top Can't see it in photo.
You grab the contact point in one hand and the fuse in the other hand...touch the tip to the fuse as you hold it...circuit is completed thru your body. Good fuse the light glows...bad fuse...no glow.
These things were as common as as gauge sets about five years ago.
I just ordered two.
