I need to run just a few feet of copper wire from a disconnect to a main lug. I Wii go down out of the disconnect underground only two feet horizontally then up then into the back of the main lug. My question is what size conduit should I use? I'm running 200 amps. Guess another question is can I run the conduit above ground?

2" PVC conduit would give plenty of room. We have even used 1½" on occasion when space was tight, and 2" would not fit. #2/0 copper wires are acceptable for a residential 200 Amp service/feeder. You are not required to bury the conduit.
