What do people recommend for outdoor unit coil cleaner?

I've also noticed my fins are developing some corrosive white salts in one corner.. When I was younger I put bleach on the aluminum fins of my window unit and it ate the fins way with the same kind of white flaky salts left behind.. Then is chemistry class I learned that bases eat aluminum for lunch..

Is there a neutralizer you can spray to prevent this, or does coil cleaner equalize the PH?

unless they are really dirty, i just use simple green, let it soak for a few minutes and blast it with good water pressure from the inside out. my coils have stayed pretty clean over the years with this method, of course it helps to keep up with the cleaning.

Jeff that's often from a dog using your unit as a urine post. Use simple green as stated and find a way to keep the dogs away.
