We have a slightly unusual construction. Pitched, tiled roof with floor of roof space made of thick concrete slab. This concrete also makes the ceiling of the rooms below. There is only plaster straight onto the ceilings. In a normal house I'd just put down rolls of rockwool insulation in the roof space.
Question: is it worth doing this with a concrete slab? If so, will it need a vapour barrier?
NB. The roof space is not a viable room, so not worth looking at insulating as a floor. The priority is making the rooms underneath warmer in the most cost effective way.
Thanks for any suggestions!
