I inherited a concrete patio that was stained only a few years ago. I don't know what they used for stain or the process but there's an area that the stain failed. My guess is it never fully dried and the sprinkler system was hitting it. Can I just stain right over the whole patio with a similar tint or do I have to treat the existing stained area before going over it?

most stained concrete has sealer on top,,, what have you tried so far ?

then go ahead & try it,,, it certainly can't be any worse looking impo,,, by any chance are those stains runoff from the pots ?

Kinda dig it...any chance you could replicate around the perimeter and picture frame your patio?
