Hey All,

I tore out my old deck and this concrete was what was left underneath. My goal is to install flagstone over the entire surface including the borders of dirt around the edge. My question is, what would be the best method for this? Should I fill the edge with concrete? Or cover the entire area with crushed granite, then install stones? I'm looking for the best way and hopefully the least expensive. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

ps... the corner is the old footing for what I am assuming was there prior to this concrete install.

Question, where does all of the rain and runoff from the roof go?
Just a thought, but the perimeter could be filled with one of the decorative gravels. That would maintain the drainage as it has been. Do you have a basement on any side of that patio and where are you?

Runoff would just go into the yard. No basement, in Texas
