So we just had 2200 SF of concrete pool decks put in. On one section on the side of the house behind the equipment it appears there is a low spot that is pooling wate. I asked to have that 8x8 section flat as I am going to place a 7x7 shed there. The issue is there is a 18" x 20" circle that pools about 3/16" of water at the middle. Also the corner of the slab where it ends at the fence drops about 1/2" in 18", toward the house. It's not pooling water against the house and can't be seen.

I guess the only solution is to demo that section and repour it? The shed would rest over it but I was concerned with sitting water. We are putting up one of these Rubbermaid sheds. Being in so cal it does not rain much but wanted to get your thoughts.

Thx

The ideal flooring material for concrete pool decks like what you have is a stamped concrete overlay with a custom scoreline effect as it's top finish. This will prevent pooling and also help in enhancing its safety and durability.
