Building 20'X27' Garage that will have approx 3 courses of exposed concrete block on foundation.

The opening at the front of the garage must accommodate a 7' X 16' garage door.

Should the small concrete block "wing walls" at the front be 23 1/4" to allow for a 3/4" finish board or should the block wall be 24" and the finish board stop at the top of the block ? I would set the 2X4 wall back 3/4" to allow this on each side.

Any suggestions on attaching finish boards if needed, to concrete block for appearance sake ?

To install a roll-up sectional garage door with side rollers, you need 1-1/2" on each side of the 3/4" wrap. Use p.t. wood with sticky window wrap behind and under it before install. This will stop any capillary action from the moisture in the block from reaching the wood.Use Tapcons and construction adhesive.
