Alright, I have a new kitchen, awaiting the new counter top and sink. Right now, this is the OLD sink just sort of roughed in for 2 weeks.

(Yes, it's temporary, the sink drains horribly due to the slant)

So my concern is, will I have enough room to work with. The plumber mentioned that there is not much space for the p-trap and tee for the dishwasher.

This sink is a single top mount. The new sink is a double sink, undermount, and about 1" deeper.

The basket strainer on this current sink looks like it's MASSIVE. It's about 3.75" to the brass fitting!

I'm not familiar with plumbing at all. Surely they must make smaller tee's for the dishwasher?

Am I doomed?

I've never seen a sink drain so large. You should be able to find any number of them that are much shallower. I am not a professional plumber, but I think you'll be fine. As a last resort, you could probably put in another trap and a standpipe and drain the dishwasher there instead.
