The Job is "Why Did They Do That" ?? Have a leaky inline Shutoff Valve on the Cold Water line to the Kitchen Sink.. Fortunately the Leak is coming from the Nut on the right side of the Shutoff Lever so I'm able to stop the leak.. The inline casing is 5 1/2" long.. The CW copper pipe is firmly in place with no wiggle room.. What I'm thinking of doing is taking the Valve out completely as it's not necessary, Replace with Pex Pipe using SharkBite fittings (pex because of the flexibility).. Why I ask , Was told Copper & Pex don't mix it would still leak ?? Thoughts Appreciated, Cheers Thanks

No problem using a Sharkbite to connect PEX to copper.
