I am just about to finish putting drywall up on my basement ceiling but am stuck at what to do with a cold air return. THe entire basement room is 20ft by 9.5 ft and has one 4"-6" circular vent dead center in the ceiling between the joists. Should I:
a) somehow extend it to the far wall and use the free space between 2 wall studs to draw air up with a grill at the floor.
b) somehow extend it to as far along the ceiling as possible and just cut out and put a gril on the ceiling.
c) leave it smack dab in the middle of the ceiling
d) whatever is better than a, b, and c
what do I need to buy to do this?
