Closing off duct work

My wife likes the ac cold over summer And then likes no heat over winter. What are some of the ways to control how much air that one room gets. It is a separate run that is right above the furnace.
Should I run a second duct line to her room and have an in-line shutoff? Or maybe a powered inline booster? What would you recommend?

If she needs more air to her room and you can physically install another line then that is the best idea.

Inline boosters are noisy and use a lot of elec $$ and rarely do a good job.

In the Winter just shut off the manual damper which you should have installed in it.

Thank you. Will do. Maybe we can start fighting about something else instead 😆
You may need to add a return to her room (if it doesn't already have one) to permit the extra airflow into the room.
