I'm going to be installing a closet system in a new master bedroom closet. Should I do this first and have my carpet work around it or carpet first and have my system installed on it?
If some units will be installed on the floor, then do this first and allow the carpets to be cut around them. Otherwise you cannot remove the carpet easily latter on.
Maybe you could build a 2 or 3 inch high raised floor under the closet system. It would give it a nice defined finished look and allow a straight edge for the carpet? Personally I would not put the closet system on the carpet unless it was easily removable.
