Hello,
My shower clogged this morning and I have tried everything, draino, plunger, pipe snake and nothing works. The strange thing is that after I took off the drain cap, my pipe snake will only go down about 8" and then it feels like it hits something rock solid. I thought it was the bend in the drain pipe, but no matter which angle or how long I try to get past it, nothing works. I live in Pennsylvania, it's been really cold here, but I can't imagine the water in the pipe froze? Thanks for any advice!

to be able to see whats going on, if you have a shop vac, vacuum out the water from the trap and look with a flashlight and see whats down there....and go from that point..8 inches is about right for the bottom of the trap, your snake might not be able to make the turn in the ubend of the trap...

I cleared it out and found it is frozen. I don't have access from anywhere, should I try boiling water or wait for it to get warmer?

Hot water. If the first shot doesn't fix it, suck the water out and repeat. Make sure after you clear the trap, that it didn't crack

where is the trap in relation to an outside wall? that it would freeze
