I'm aware that I have to keep electrical wires back at least 1 1/4" from the surface of a stud. I have a wall that will be finished on both sides separating rooms. How do I deal with the wires coming out of the back of the electrical boxes before the wires are routed to stud? Doesn't this violate the rule to use a 3" deep plastic electrical box? The wires will be very close to the drywall they exit the top / bottom of the box in the back.

Of course if this doesn't violate code, doesn't it violate the intent to avoid someone driving a nail into the wire?

Thanks!
