I need to power wash my shed's wood siding before I re-stain, with a solid latex stain. There's black on some of the wood(I assume it's mold or mildew)?

Do I need to put the cleaner in the power washer's bottle? If so, what cleaner do you recommend? If I spray a cleaner onto the siding first it would just run right off, correct?

Thanks.

There are lots of bottles of house wash for pressure sprayers . Any hardware, paint store or big box store will have it. I have no brand preference as any I have tried work just fine. For most pressure washers you just sticking the syphon hose into the gallon bottle. You apply it by using the gun at low pressure and then use the high pressure to rinse off. This is really easy if you have an adjustable wand.
