Ideally you should vacuum it first and then blow it out with a air compressor or leaf blower or shop vac that blows.

Then spray it out with a garden hose sprayer, NO pressure washer or the fins bend and collapse.

If you just hit it with water and no vacuum then it turns into newspaper/pulp. That is why I hate spine fin coils. Some techs have a method of burning them clean with a torch and supposedly Train etc talked about it? Sounds dangerous as he*ll and I would never do it.
