I have 5 chickens and 1 rooster, need to find out how to build a simple chicken coop. I live in the mountains of wv and I have no one but me to do this so please dont make it to complicated. I have all material to build one. but no idea how to do it. thanks:vs_bulb:

The simplest is to build it just like a standard garden shed.

Then install individual nest boxes, and a roost.

they need a place to eat (feed box), drink (font), lay eggs (nesting box) and sleep (roosts). and a door to get in and out. the door usually open up to a chicken wire run. the coop can be large enough for people to walk in and out, or small enough for them only. visit a tractor supply and look at theirs for ideas. you may want to separate the rooster tho.
