My freezer is a 1994 Kenmore chest freezer, my relay starter went out on it. Kenmoredirect.com says they no longer carry that part and what do you know, they say there is nothing compatible with that compressor model number 253.9135311. My question is, will a supco 3 in 1 relay work with this? Kenmore made it sound like it wouldn’t.

Yes it would work fine. There are several different types though. Some have extra wiring to wire in a run capacitor. Yours probably does not have one. But no way I can say for sure.

Actually I looked it up. Yours does have a run capacitor. Just buy the three in one that has the wiring already set up for the run capacitor. It would be a good idea to test that capacitor as well.
