Kogers in KY and maybe in your area is selling Packer's Cut Beef Brisket for $1.99 per pound.

I have never seen it this cheap.

I suspect this is a result of so many restaurants closing due to virus.

If not this week in your area maybe next.

Maybe that explains why my daughter could buy me chicken so cheap last night.

Yeah! *

Us old ones who know how to cook may get a break on real food for a while.

*I would rather have things be normal and pay extra.

Yesterday's local paper contained absolutely zero ads. Usually there is a front section, section b, then 4 or 5 inserts with ads from local food stores and department type stores. NONE. Our local meat market is open and doing a banging business, since the restaurants aren't open for seating. Suppliers are having to deliver to someone, so they get the best shot at their racks staying full.

I guess they wouldn't want to say, toilet paper, sanitizer & now cat food on sale, only to have it gone within an hour.

One of our local grocery store chains has a big sale every friday. They have suspended all sale pricing - full price only on everything in the store. I guess it's their attempt to keep stuff on the shelves. IMO their regular prices are too high and we only go there to buy the specials. Meat prices have risen locally.

Do you folks use Flipp.com? All the ads are there. If I lived in a small community I would get the weekly paper but as I don't I don't do newspaper.

The Kroger ad was about 25% of normal and only 4 pages.
