Some outlet plugs dont work in my house. Can it be that they are all bad? Is it a fuse issue?

Could be a few things. If the plugs are in the same room or around the same area check the fuses. And if the fuses are fine than you could have a bad connection at a plug

we checked the fuses and changed the plugs

Probably the most common problem with a outlet (receptacle) not working is a poor connection from installing the wiring into a 'backstab' instead of under a screw....over time these backstab connections often fail.

The problem may very well be at a working receptacle...so if you only replaced the ones that didn't work you likely missed the bad connection.


It will shorten the troubleshooting a bit if you invest in a receptacle tester like this.....
