You can do what ever you want.....your the one looking at it.
But....typically, it's centered......This is assuming you mean the upper cabinet and not the one the sink is sitting in.....
But if you mean the cabinet under the sink.....well...yep....you can do what you want. As long as the drain connects properly....your good to go.
