Hi

I had a contractor raise my paver walkway when redoing the asphalt driveway. They were supposed to "put cement around the edge of paver walkway" which they never did.
Am I supposed to put something around the perimeter of the paver blocks? There is a metal belt nailed into the ground. But that gave loose before and every thing unbuckled.

The metal retainers rarely work if there is any slope to the ground. A bit of mixed cement inside of a form will keep it more steady for the long haul.
