Ceiling fan wiring/will not operate with remote

Need assistance on wiring. Ceiling fan only works when connected without remote. Replaced first remote and still same problem. I have two wall switches for fan and light. (2) Black/White/Grounds coming out of ceiling. Current wiring that operates fan and light without remote: 2 ceiling white/1 fan white, 1 ceiling black/1 fan blue, 1 ceiling black/1 fan black, 3 grounds. Any ideas on wiring with remote??? No success following fan wiring instructions..Thanks for any input.

Connect the 1 of the white cables to the remote line side white.

Connect the black from the same cable to remote line side black

Connect the black, blue and white from the fan to the same colors on the remote.

The other cable in the ceiling (and associated wall switch) will not be used. Insulate with wire nuts.

The wall switch must be left on to supply power to the remote.
With with a meter, verify you are 120 volts to the black/white you are connecting to the remote. Are you connecting the power to the correct black/white on the remote?
Does the indicator light on the hand held unit light when you press a button?
