Hello, I had an earlier post about using a ceiling fan light kit, well I decided to remove the old fan since it was nasty and wanted to get a new one anyway. I have a question about the wires and how they should match up, I just want to make sure that I have this correct. Here are some pictures of what I am working with.
Coming through the ceiling.
Coming from the new fan
Green Ground is not shown but it is there:
Blue is labeled Light, White is Neutral, Black is Motor.
I am unsure which wire should go where since they do not match up like my instructions explained, the fan light and the fan itself will be powered off of the same switch controlling both and I will just use the pull chain for the fan.
Is the green wire coming through the ceiling with the two reds another ground? If so then were is the neutral? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time!
