Hello everyone! I'm a newbie here and I am excited to be a member. I am currently chin deep in a do it yourself kitchen remodel. All things are going great except I'm stuck with wiring a ceiling fan w/light with two three way switches. This is probably way more simple than I'm making it. I want the fan/light to turn on and off from two seperate three way switches on opposite ends of the room. I ran one 12-3 wire from each switch box to the ceiling fan box. The power wire comes into the ceiling fan box as well and is 12-2. How do I wire this so the fan/light combo will turn on/off from either switch?? Thanks for your help and guidance and I look forward to being a positive contributor to the forum as often as possible.

You can not wire it for separate control of the fan and light those wires. Here is a diagram of a fixture. Just connect the fan and light together at the fixture.

Yeah I know I can't seperate the fan and light. Let me clarify. I want to be able to turn The fan on and off from two different switches. That's all. Not the fan and light separately. Sorry for confusion

Then just connect the fan as shown. Use the power wires coming in to wire the light as you please. The neutral will be common between them.
