Hello,
I had to re-do the caulking in my shower (6 years old or so). So I removed the old caulk, then bleached it (let it dry for an hour), then put alcohol on to remove any grime (let it dry for an hour).
Then I applied tub caulk. I let it dry for 48 hours before using the shower. The caulk first cracked (all over), then got mushy.
So I removed the caulk, cleaned it up again, and recaulked (with another brand of bathroom / tub caulk).
I let it dry for 3 days before using the shower.
It is now 2 weeks later and the caulk is still mushy (not firm to the touch as it usually would be).
Any ideas????????????
