If I caulk after priming, do I need to remove tape and re-apply prior to painting to avoid a caulk edge? I've had this happen leaving tape on too long after caulking before. If I need to remove and reapply, then I can see why the DR, LR and Foyer have never been caulked. The DR has three large windows, 3 single doorways, a double doorway and a large ornate mantle. All these rooms (the entire house) has a lot of trim, etc. That's a lot of taping.
