Hi everybody,

I am wondering if I should use latex caulk or wood glue to close up the gaps/cracks in the wooden frame. Ants actually come through them into the kitchen. Picture makes it look dirtier than it is. Not looking to repaint whole frame now, want to close gaps and smooth it all out.

Should I sand that edge with with window a bit before applying caulk/wood glue?

Thanks for the help.

Couple options; this is just my opinion, you could clean/scrap old caulk off, repaint, then use clear silicone to seal it as paint will not adhere to silicone, or same cleaning procedure, but use a paintable caulk to seal then paint it, as mentioned above.
