cartridge issue

I removed my shower single handle cartridge (disk cartridge) I reinstalled it and now I get hot water but no cold, and I have to turn it all the way so water comes out. When I turn it the other way the water shuts off immediately.

On many units, like Moen, it's possible to install the handle 180 degrees off, so you have to install the handle so it's on the other way.
